The director Shunji Iwai mourned for Lily with the audience.
On November 11th at 16:00, “A Bridge for Rip Van Winkle” was screened at NTT Cred Hall No.1. After the screening, the director of the film, Shunji Iwai stood on the stage for a talk show having freelance writer Koji Shimizu as the interviewer.
It became a commemorative screening for Lily, who starred as an actress in the film. She died in the morning on that day. Iwai brought her favorite distilled spirit and a glass on the stage, and expressed his condolences. As he talked about her and some behind the scene episodes, the audience mourned for the actress.
