Including the predecessor, "Damah Film Festival in Hiroshima", The Hiroshima International Film Festival (HIFF) will mark its 10th anniversary this year.
I express my sincere gratitude for your support.

I would like to welcome filmmakers from all over the world to Hiroshima and I want to make film cultures more deeply rooted in Hiroshima.
We held a festival with many thoughts.
How much do you think it could have realized? I think that the HIFF will develop in the future; it’s still halfway now.
I remember that a Korean film director said, "It will mature as a film festival only after it lasted 30 years."
30 years, even further, the HIFF will keep evolving constantly.

I hope that everyone in Hiroshima and everyone who loves films all over the world need the HIFF.
