Cambodian director Rithy Panh has received the Peace Award at Fajr International Film Festival 2018 in Iran. At the closing ceremony, he was awarded by Oliver Stone, the guest director. During the festival, Panh had a special lecture at the festival venues and university.

Fajr International Film Festival is the biggest film festival in the Middle East which is held in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. The festival was held from April 19th to 27th this year. 140 films from 58 countries were screened and 300 filmmakers from 78 countries participated.

At HIFF 2017, "EXILE" and "THE SEA WALL" directed by Rithy Panh were screened.
