On November 13th, “Memories of My Son” was screened and it was followed by a talk show with the leading actress, Sayuri Yoshinaga.

The actress showed up in white suit and was welcomed by the audience with a big applause. After she greeted the audience, she made the audience smile by saying, “I was very glad that Hiroshima Carp won the Central League. I cheered for the winning of Carp wholeheartedly myself as well.”

About her starring in the film, she said, “I have been active on giving a public reading of poems about the atomic bomb for 30 years and have been wishing for all nuclear weapons to be demolished completely to bring a peace to the world. Therefore, when I got the call about starring in the film by the director Yoji Yamada, I said yes to that immediately.”
