The Feature on “The Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival”

We will invite Director Bertrand Mandico, and screen three works including "The Wild Boys", which won the Grand Prix at The Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival (FIFIB) in 2017!

The FIFIB is a French film festival that was born in 2012 with the aim of discovering talent of independent film directors. The FIFIB is interested in the young Japanese director Katsuya Tomita who was featured in 2013. During this year, the FIFIB has also featured Director Ryusuke Hamaguchi, who gained the attention with, "Asako I & II" in the Competition section at the Cannes Film Festival.
We will invite Director Bertrand Mandico and Léo Soesanto, who is the program director of the FIFIB. Three works, including "The Wild Boys", which won the Grand Prix at the FIFIB in 2017, will be screened and a talk show will be held.

"Bertrand Mandico's films do not belong to any genre except to the one he has been patiently building for 20 years. Fantasy in his movies is in nature. It is the territory, lush, erotic and mutant where he places his camera." Stéphane du Mesnildot (Les Cahiers du cinéma)
