An earthquake leaves 10 strangers stranded in a collapsed tunnel in the countryside of Japan. Soon after, a mythical shapeshifting cat monster, the Bakeneko, begins to terrorize the group by killing individuals and taking on their identities. But when they learn that Bakeneko's true motivation is love, they are forced to question each others' comforts or die.
