This film is a remake of the 2014 South Korean movie, "A Hard Day." The original film achieved tremendous success in South Korea, topping the charts for five consecutive weeks and attracting 3.45 million audience, while also winning numerous awards.

It has been remade in China, France, and the Philippines. The French remake titled, "Restless" was globally released on Netflix in February 2023, securing the top in the Netflix Global Movie Rankings worldwide.

The Japanese version of this film was directed by the well-known director at the Hiroshima International Film Festival, FUJII Michihito. Following the screening, applause erupted as the director took the stage, and the talk show commenced with KIMURA Michita, a freelance personality, as the facilitator.

The talk began with discussions about the film production. The Director revealed that he felt tremendous excitement when he received the project proposal, "Something fantastic has arrived!"

The only downside was that it was a remake project and the whole story had already been made. "I accepted the offer under the condition that I didn't need to watch the original, but eventually, I ended up watching it." Dir. FUJII’s revelation elicited laughter from the audience.

Director FUJII mentioned his fondness for action thriller films like the one he created this time. Despite his intense passion for cars, he disclosed that he doesn't possess a driver's license. He shared that he could depict the car chase scenes from a movie fan's point of view, which an ordinary driver would never even think of.

During the latter part of the event, there was a Q&A session from the audience. Questions arose from various perspectives, such as the intention behind filming: why he had chosen remote locations in Toyota City, the setting during the year-end period, the transition to an era where movies are watched on smartphones, and even about the significance of the car's license plate numbers in the film.

While some attendees expressed concern about potential spoilers regarding the license plate question, the director was very kind and detailed in his response.

The talk show unfolded with various discussions, ranging from exclusive spoilers only available there to provide insights into the director's personal aspects. Finally, the director introduced upcoming projects, concluding with a statement, "Believing in creating good films, I will continue making works in the future." With a round of applause, the talk show ended.

Director FUJII Michihito's "Hard Days" will be globally released on Netflix starting from November 30th.
