International premiere screening of “GLORIOUS DAYS(Bebas)” and talk show with the director RIRI RIZA!

"Glorious Days", directed by the leading Indonesian filmmaker RIRI RIZA, is a remake of "Sunny", a major hit in Korea in 2011. It is a moving work that tells the story of six high school friends who reunite for the first time in 23 years and simultaneously depicts the modern story of the main characters, who have grown up. At the talk show after the screening, you can listen to the thoughts of the director of the film. The HIFF screening is the international premiere. Don't miss it!

 <Story>
Vina, who has been transferred to a high school in the capital Jakarta, forms a group of five called "Gang Bebas" (Bebas=freedom) with students who he bonded with. However, in the wake of a certain incident, each of them decide to go their different ways. One day, after 23 years, Vina runs into a member of the group. This triggers Vina to begin searching for the remaining members of the group.

Director  RIRI RIZA
Born in Indonesia in 1970, he studied screenwriting and earned a Master of Arts degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. His first feature film, “Sherina's Adventure” (Miles Fims, 2000) proved to be a great success. His second film, “Eliana, Eliana” (Miles Films, 2002) was invited to many international film festivals and he was acknowledged as a film director representing Indonesia. His film, “The Rainbow Troops” (Miles Films, 2008) is one of the top five biggest hit in Indonesian film history. He continues to produce films that are accepted by public while incorporating social issues.
