International Short Film Competition Group B had been held in NTT CRED Hall No.1 from 4:30 pm, and “Unforgettable Memory of a Friend”, “How Felnando Pessoa Saved Portugal”, “Those who Desire” were on the screen.

Unfortunately, the film staff of “Unforgettable Memory of a Friend” were not here, but Mr. Julien Naveau, who was the producer of “How Felnando Pessoa Saved Portugal”, and Ms. Elena López Riera, who directed the movie, “Those who Desire” were on the stage for the talk show, after the film.

“Unforgettable Memory of a Friend” Directed by Mr. Wissam Charaf takes place in 1980’s Lebanon, and the love story of a 13-year-old boy trying to get attention from a girl that he loves.

“How Felnando Pessoa Saved Portugal”, directed by Eugène Green, is a story about poet Felnando Pessoa, who lived in Portugal, and how the slogan that he made for Coca-Cola (in the film Coca-Louca) made the Portuguese governor ban selling Coca-Cola because they thought that Coca-Cola is something evil that gets people addicted.

“Those who Desire” is a story that is written about a traditional love race by a pigeon, that is played out in parts of Spain. This film was filmed in hometown of the director Ms. Riera and took nearly 2 years.

During the talk show, they were asked, if they want to make any comments to people in Japan. Mr. Naveau answered, “I’m not Mr. Green, so I can’t say much about the film, but I hoped many people in Japan would enjoy this film.” Next, Ms. Riera answered, “I’m really happy to show the life of people from my hometown to many people in Japan”.

Mr. Naveau is currently working with many films, including a film that is directed by Mr. Green as a producer and Ms. Riera will continue working on a film that is based on Spanish traditions.
