The painter Takumi Sejima is a professor at an Art University. He paints , carries out creative activities , flies his radio controlled planes and uttering words ceaselessly, which makes his sleeping time extremely short .
His title for his work has never changed , which is “ THE RUNNER” He diffuses all his energy ,sprints , as he still keeps his boyhood inside himself.
He is taken as an unprecedented ,freewheeling , happy go lucky person. However, as said , "there are shadows where there are lights", he shoulders a fate , which is revealed in the movie.
This is a stimulating human documentary which is intense, passionate, and inspiring !

Starting with a part time job , making stage sets, art assistances, to become a freelance assistant film director.
After assisting directors Juzo Itami , Yojiro Takita, Junji Sakamoto,and Masayuki Suo , he carried out his debut theatrical film in 1998,under the film director Shinji Somai.
The main movies directed are　
“Dolphin Blue” 2007 Based on a true story about a dolphin(bred at an aquarium in Okinawa Japan) which lost its tail fin and was given an artificial one.
“School Days with a Pig “ 2008 Also based on a true story about “Life”, having to eat a pig which was raised in a class by a teacher and students at an elementary school.
