Chigasaki is a seaside town. It is just another small town in Japan.
But Chigasaki produced many cultural and music figures such as 9th Ichikawa Danjuro ( Kabuki Actor), Ozu Yasujiro (Movie Director), Kayama Yuzo (60s biggest male star), and Japan’s leading singer Kuwata Keisuke.
How come such talented artists were born from a rural city in Japan?

Izuru Kumasaka
Izuru Kumasaka was born in 1975 in Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture. He graduated from Rikkyo University with a major in British and American Literature. Coffee and Milk, Kumasaka’s independent film won Special Jury Award, Best Concept Award, and Best Creativity Award in 2005 Pia Film Festival’s PPF. Asyl:Park and Love Hotel(2007), his first long film won the Best First Feature Award in the 58th Berlin International Film, which was the first time for Japanese. Lilou's Adventure(2011), his second film won the Red Chameleon Award and the Blue Chameleon Award at the 6th Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival. Afterwards, he has been continuously producing feature films such as Jinrou Game(2013), Jinrou Game – Beast Side(2014), The Twins (Japan-China-Korea co-produced film,2017). Besides, he is energetically active in producing other works including TV series, You are my pet (Fuji TV/2017),Wani to kagekisu (TBS/2017), Itsuka Tiffany de choshoku wo(YTV/2016), Kukkurun special mango agency(NHK-E/2016), Kasane(Fuji TV/2015), Tamagawa Kuyakusho of the Dead (TV Tokyo/2014) Kogure Photo Studio (NHK/2013), Hakuba no Oujisama Junai Tekireiki (NTV-YTV/2013), the documentaries (Earth Taxi /NHK-BS) and the personal music videos of Nogizaka48.
