José Luis Guerín’s short film, Le Saphir de Saint-Louis, has been nominated for the “International Competition” program of the 2016 Hiroshima International Film Festival!
José Luis Guerín is a Spanish director, whose film In the City of Sylvia was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2007 where its beauty enthralled the world.
In his short film, Le Saphir de Saint-Louis, a painting, which adorns the walls of a cathedral in La Rochell, quietly tells the story of the slave ship Le Saphir.
In addition to the screening of the film, Director José Luis Guerín will attend the festival as a guest speaker.
