＜Story＞
For over 20 years the citizens of Wiesenberg had cultivated the same rituals. The singing mountaineers met once a week in the local church to rehearse together and they yodelled for weddings and birthdays. In the meantime their world has been turned upside down: their CDs have stormed the charts and they are bombarded with concert offers. The allure of show business! Now they are scheduled to perform in Shanghai. This tempting offer turns into a crucial test. A film about mountain dwellers who try to remain authentic, caught between their traditions and show business.

Bernard Weber
Born in Geneva. Worked as an assistant in various functions for THREE COLORS: RED by Krzysztof Kieslowski and MICROCOSMOS by Nuridsany / Perrenou. His last feature NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS was a box office success in theatres and won several audience awards. Official selection at TIFF Tokyo, Leipzig, Locarno, NYC DOC. For PAMPA he received the Pardino d’oro at the Locarno Film Festival. Bernard Weber is a member of the advisory board of Haiti’s Ciné Institute.

Martin Schilt
1971 born in Bern, lives in Zürich, since 1995 independent Filmmaker, Founder Lucky Film Zürich Since 1996 Producer and Editor and Head of Program Development for Swiss National Television.
