<Story>
Aimi (24)’s grandfather operates a movie theater in Hiroshima facing constant financial difficulties. The day before they give up on the theater, a man from Tokyo named Tokuzawa appears. Tokuzawa starts telling a story from a long time ago. The Carp (baseball team) had no money, but they used their wits to survive. He proposes various ideas to revive the movie theater based on telling old stories about the Carp. Troubled Aimi and people from the neighborhood shops are moved by these episodes of the past. After the war, the impoverished local baseball team had no big corporate sponsors, but they came up with ideas that had never been thought of before which contributes for the team to successfully overcome the crisis proving phenomenal victory. Tokuzawa learns and lives the stories about the desperate and sometimes comical efforts of Hiroshima’s citizen supporting the Carp. In those days, the Carp were a small hope created in a town that had nothing left after being bombed. As Aimi and the movie theater begin to improve thanks to Tokuzawa’s bold proposals, things begin to progressively change for those working in the neighborhood shops. Just when it seems that business is beginning to return to the movie theater, Tokuzawa suddenly disappears. Aimi lost in thought looks into it, finding that Tokuzawa wasn’t actually an official from the government’s ministry of trade. The flabbergasted Aimi and company begins to gradually realize the actual reasons why he came back to this town.<Staff>
