What is the Hiroshima International Film Festival (HIFF)? (4)~Venue guide~

The Hiroshima International Film Festival 2018 will be held at three locations, four venues, which are NTT Cred Hall (1st and 2nd venue), Hiroshima City Cinematographic and Audio-Visual Library, and the Yokogawa cinema.




◆"NTT Cred Hall" is a multipurpose hall with a size of 900 square meters, corresponding to every event, which is on the 11th floor of the NTT Cred Motomachi Building in the center of Hiroshima city. Equipped with lifting floor that can be divided into 32 parts, it can freely arrange up to 1,000 spectators. It is also possible to unify with the foyer (1,000 square meters).

At the Hiroshima International Film Festival, two screening venues will be set up. The opening ceremony, screening of each work, award ceremony, closing ceremony and afterparty are held at the venue. A food park and live music are also held in the foyer space of Credo Hall.

★1st venue (HIFF main screening venue): capacity for 600 people
★2nd venue: Capacity for 100 people

◆The Hiroshima City Cinematographic and Audio-Visual Library is a specialized facility that collects, preserves, shows Japanese movies etc. and collects and stores music materials such as record and CDs.

◆Yokogawa Cinema" is the predecessor of a four-wall screening in late show that was held in Hiroshima Station Cinema, which was closed in 1998. The basic concept is an "omnivorous mini theater to discover rare movie pleasures, mainly focusing on independent works that are scarce in popularity but interesting.” It does not matter whether it is a Japanese movie or not. It is a movie theater which has been quietly open in Yokogawa Town, Nishi-ku Hiroshima City since November 27, 1999.
