“Ghost Dolls” is the historical drama of the 19th century,
Mr. Sadoyama plays an eccentric role “Ikiningyo” which is life-sized figurine doll.
This was modeled on a bizarre corpse who died by strange disease ,which a tree grows from his chest.
He told us “when I got the scenario, I was surprised how little dialogue there was ,but I could find something which was not on the scenario but on the screen. I felt Yuki Nishikata, the producer, is talented.”
In the film, we can see the in quiet scene when the doll goes to see his daughter. “I think the main theme of this film is love. The daughter is going to look for her missing father at a local freak show house. The boy loves her. Even though being a man-made doll dead father manage to come back to life again in order to see his own daughter. You can see many kinds of love.” Mr.Sadoyama emphasizes. Meanwhile he showed an inside story. Before starting the film shooting, he had his own silicon mold made. At that time,he suffered from being unable to breath. This story made the audience laugh a lot.

“The Snail School” is a fantasy film. The chief character is an elementary school girl whose school is going to be closed down. She has a unique ability. She can see everything move slowly so, the spray of the principal’s sneeze or burning popcorn seems to be as if in slow motion for her.
Producer Wei-kang Chou expresses his message.”Many people can’t see their surroundings enough because society rhythm is so fast. I hope these people slow down their pace and look around well like the girl”
And then, in Taiwan, people have a problem that increases the closing of countryside schools. In this film, as well, they used school buildings which were closed 20 years ago.Wei-kang Chou has worked for TV drama, and now makes a new start as a film producer  from this film. This is his first visit to Hiroshima. He said, ”It is a quiet city, and also people are kind. In Miyajima, which means shrine island, I could see beautiful colors of historical buildings and sky.”He seems to like the atmosphere of the city. We can expect him to shoot a movie in Hiroshima in the future.
