Where Does a Film Begin? — Between the Set and the Soul”
Every film begins with a small sense of discomfort or a question. Inspired by the first image that led to “The Imaginary Dog and the Lying Cat”, the story takes shape while moving between reality and fiction, turning social themes into narrative form. On set, the film is rewritten together with the actors and crew—new expressions emerging through the courage to embrace accidents and trust in the creative process. In editing, the images are shaped so they do not speak too much, leaving space for silence and imagination to breathe. And when the film is complete, it begins again through its encounter with the audience—carrying the spirit of creation from Hiroshima to the world.
