<Synopsis>

KAYAMA Ito, a loner with no friends, is assigned, against her will, as group leader of five other social outcasts for their high school trip to Hiroshima. The mismatched team includes BABA Sumire, a self-absorbed TikToker everyone avoids, SHINKAWA Kotone, an unreachable bookworm, IGARASHI Daisuke, whose nonstop boasting turns others away, YAMADA Chie, who is too timid to speak up, and IIJIMA Yutaro, who has stopped attending school for unknown reasons.

An awkward atmosphere settles over the group from the outset, punctuated by the muttered phrase, “we’re not even friends.” In response, they agree to split up during their free time, each taking a turn to choose a destination. Yet, as Kayama fumbles through her leadership role, guiding them through batting cages, “Instagram-worthy” cafés, and unlikely Hiroshima sights, their shared experience begins to work a subtle magic. Small acts of patience and bursts of shared laughter slowly start to knit them together.

Just as a fragile camaraderie takes root, an unexpected incident detonates a chain of events that none of them could have anticipated and forces the six of them to confront their secrets, fears and the truths that have kept them apart. What unfolds on this once-in-a-lifetime school trip will test the bond they forge, change the way they see each other, and alter the course of their lives forever.
