<Synopsis>
In the mountainous region of Gangwon-do on South Korea’s eastern coast, wildfires, both small and large, recur year after year. In the spring of 2023, a wildfire that broke out in Gyeongpo, Gangneung, razed 551 homes to the ground in a few hours. This film tells the story of one family who lost their home in that fire.
After the fire, the family of three moves to a village where their ‘Auntie’ lives. In this strange place, their days are filled with worry, emotional scars, and an uncertain future. The mother struggles with insomnia, while the father tries to adapt, learning the ropes at Auntie’s diner. Their young son, who has just started elementary school, begins to weave a story in his mind—a little tale born of mixed emotions and lingering anxiety.
