Closing Film “A-Bomb Museum” to Have Its World Premiere

The documentary film “A-Bomb Museum”, produced by Hiroshima Home Television to commemorate both the broadcaster’s 55th anniversary and the 80th year since the atomic bombing, will have its world premiere as the Closing Film of the Hiroshima International Film Festival 2025.
In 2025, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum marks its 70th anniversary.
What began as a small “Exhibition Room of Rubble” in a devastated city has grown into one of the world’s leading museums dedicated to the memory of human tragedy.
Through testimonies of atomic bomb survivors, rare archival footage, and the vast visual records accumulated by Hiroshima Home Television over 55 years of coverage, the film traces the museum’s journey and the enduring message of peace it conveys.
The original score is composed by Eiko Ishibashi (Drive My Car, Evil Does Not Exist).
The film is directed by Toshiyuki Saito and Naoki Tachikawa, and edited by Yoshihiro Kumata.
A poignant closing film that carries a quiet prayer from Hiroshima to the world.
