The Hiroshima International Film Festival enters its 17th year with the enduring mission to “build a bridge connecting filmmakers from around the world with the city and citizens of Hiroshima.”

This year, we will bring together inspiring films from across the globe—works that possess the power to give people strength and positivity.

Marking eighty years since the atomic bombing, this year’s festival seeks to reaffirm and share with the world the transformative power of cinema from Hiroshima, a city that has become a symbol of peace and resilience.

The festival will be held over three days—from Friday, November 28 to Sunday, November 30, 2025.
