STORY
It all started 18 years ago in Taiwan. Jimmy (Hsu Kuang Han), a high school student working part-time at a karaoke bar, meets Ami (Kaya KIYOHARA), a backpacker from Japan. As Jimmy spends time with the her, he starts to fall in love with her. However, Ami suddenly decides to return to Japan. Jimmy is devastated, but Ami makes a promise with him.
Present day in Taiwan. Jimmy returns to his hometown after stumbling in life and finds a postcard in his room that he received from Ami. The memory of his first love comes back to him, and he decides to travel to Japan, where she was born and raised, to fulfill the promise he made. From Tokyo, he travels to Kamakura, Nagano, Niigata, and Ami's hometown of Fukushima.
Riding the train and meeting people on the way, Jimmy recalls the days he spent with Ami that summer. In the end, Jimmy discovers her true feelings from 18 years ago.

Michihito FUJII
Born in 1986. After graduating from Nihon University, he founded the film group "BABEL LABEL" in 2010, and made his commercial debut with the film adaptation of Koutarou Isaka's novel "OH! FATHER" in 2014. The film "The Journalist" won six awards at the 43rd Japan Academy Film Prize, including Best Picture, and has received numerous film awards. Since then, he has been actively directing films such as "Ao no Kaerimichi" (18), "Day and Night" (19), "The Brightest Roof in the Universe" (20), "Yakuza and the Family" (21), "The Last 10 Years" (22), "Village" (23), "A Hard Day" (23), and Netflix original movie "Parade." His latest feature "Shotai" will be released November 2024 in Japan. He is considered as a director to look out for not only in Japan but around the world.
