Yuko is a high school girl, who grew up in a single-parent household in a small rural town. She had always struggled with making decisions. She also disliked any kind of flashy events. For her, the most comfortable thing was the time when nothing happened, in other words, "normality". Her father, being the only parent, had raised Yuko with great care just like any ordinary family. However, her father had a different side to him than a "normal" parent. He was involved in the yakuza business. And then there were the members of her father's entourage. They either doted on their daughter, challenged themselves to take university entrance exams at an older age, or struggled with taking care of their aging parents. They were all yakuza members who were somehow likable. They were always kind to Yuko. The yakuza business in the small rural town eventually declined due to the changing times and decreasing demand. The organization was facing a crisis of survival as its profits significantly decreased. While Yuko felt somewhat guilty towards her classmates and society, she still managed to enjoy her daily life to some extent. However, due to a chain of trivial events, her "normality" began to crumble little by little.
