English Vinglish is the story of a woman who does not know English and is made to feel insecure by her family and society at large. Momoko (Miwako Wagatsuma) is the ultimate hopeless romantic. She obsesses over her first love Ryosuke(Ryota Ozawa) though her affection is never requited. Ryosuke breaks off relations with Momoko because she accidentally burns down his house. Some years later, she accidentally stumbles upon his little finger and secretly creates his clone. She names the clone “Koyubi(Little finger)” and deepens their relations, but one day Ryosuke comes and takes away her clone, claiming the little finger originally belonged to him. He determines to get revenge agains a gangster who killed his ex-girlfriend Manami(Haruka Suenaga). Koyubi, knowing Momoko’s enduring love, tries to stop Ryosuke from confronting the gangsters…,
