The opening ceremony took place on November 11, 2016 at NTT CRED Hall. The chairperson of the executive committee of Hiroshima International Film Festival (HIFF), Mr. Kazutaka Yamamoto addressed that Hiroshima would send a message through film screen for peace to the world. Also the city mayor of Hiroshima, Mr. Kazumi Matsui told that it would build the bridge between people’s hearts. The president of HIFF, Ms. Kyoko Heya who was awarded the medal with Purple Ribbon recently proclaimed the opening of the festival.
There are many fascinating films to watch and many talented guests from all over the world for this festival, it is really worthwhile to join the festival.
