We are delighted to announce the first selection of a MUST-SEE film for the “Hiroshima EYE” program, titles “Paper Lanterns”

We are delighted to officially announce the first selection of a MUST-SEE film for the “Hiroshima EYE” program of the 2016 Hiroshima International Film Festival!

The documentary film, Paper Lanterns, tells the story of Mr. Shigeaki Mori, who was 8 years old when the A-bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and his lifelong research on 12 American POWs who died in Hiroshima. His research would go on to help bring closure to the families and understanding to the world.

While it has attracted increasing attention, this screening at the HIFF will be one of the first public showings of the film, and the first at an international festival. Mr. Shigeaki Mori, and Mr. Barry Frechette (director) will be guest speakers at the festival.

Don’t miss this special selection for the Hiroshima EYE program!
